The Service
We provide advice, guidance and support for all
those coming to Bromley Magistrates' Court for whatever purpose, be they
victims, witnesses, defendants, fine defaulters or other court users, such as
solicitors. We are an independent charity, separate from the Court, our
services are, however, very much valued by the Court.

The Help Desk Service is a registered charity
established in May 1997 and we are proud to have Lord and Lady Mackay of
Clashfern as our Honorary Presidents. The service is run by two part-time
co-ordinators and delivered by a team of committed volunteers who have been
trained to meet the needs of those coming to Court.
Our volunteers can help you
- Find your way around the Courthouse
- Understand the Court process
- Fill in Court forms e.g. means enquiry forms
- Obtain information and reassurance
- Seek help from specialist Help Agencies e.g.
Victim Support, drug, alcohol, domestic violence, debt, housing, or
employment
- Gain immediate access to a drugs worker
Where you can find us
We have two help desks, one in the Adult Court
waiting area and the other in the Youth Court waiting area. Please ask at the
Court Reception counter and they will be happy to direct you to us.
